Acid Mothers Temper in Spain and Portugal

Oct 29th, 2007 • Categories: audioteletipos, Spain, events, Portugal

“Acid Mothers Temper is not a group to the use, more well a collective one of artists and freaks around the figure of Makoto Kawabata, who believes to be the reincarnation of the guru hippy Father Yod. Since their general headquarters in Osaka, Acid Mothers Temper they have published scores of references in numerous seals and they have carried out multitude of contributions. The variant one Acid Mothers Temper & The Melting Paraiso OR. F. OR. was formed in 1996. AMT do jams progressive in the wave of freaks psychedelic as Magma or Gong.
Next Friday 2 of November Acid Mothers Temper & The Melting Paradise UFO landed for the first time in Madrid, just before its action in the Tanned Tin 2007. The best-known group of the prolific Japanese psychedelic scene recovers for this tour the classical formation of its starts with Tsuyama Atsushi, Higashi Hiroshi and Shimura Koji accompanying to Kawabata and will be faced to one of the formations with better direct of the capital, Rosvita, recently arrived from its first European tour.
After soldier in bands as Toho Sara, Ohkami Not Jikan, Musica Transonic or Mainliner, the Japanese guitarist Makoto Kawabata decided to continue its sonic explorations meeting related musicians to create shots of psicodelia acid inspired in Karlheinz Stockhausen, the Krautrock and the hard rock progressive of the 70. Acid Mothers Temper & The Melting Paraiso OR. F. OR. (Undeground Freak Out) was founded the 1996 as Soul Collective (collective of souls). It is not a comuna in the strict sense of the word since the members do not live together, but is based on communal values and they have arrived even to to be confused with a religious sect (!). Kawabata founded the collective one because wanted to give the opportunity to unknown musicians to record and to publish disks that arrived at a more extensive public. Its original idea was not to create a band that constantly was rotating and recording. In fact, the début called of the band, published by the mythical Japanese seal P.S.F., is in reality a project alone of Kawabata, a pile of jam sessions with different musicians whose tapes published to create something seemed to the concrete music.

To Kawabata should like the result and in 1998 met different musicians to do an international tour. Atsushi Tsuyama, that had been the guitarist in a tour by Japan in November of 1998, he passed to be the permanent bassist in 1999 and eventually the formation estandar was consolidated with Kawabata, Tsuyama, Hiroshi Higashi to the guitar and synthesizers, Ichiraku Yoshimitsu to the battery and Cotton Casino to the synthesizers and voice. Animated by it it deserved reputation as great band of direct, AMT continued recording and touching. They published Wild Gals to Go-Go, soundtrack for a movie underground Russian without finishing in 1999 and Live or Occident, a double direct one with actions of their international tour of 1999 in 2000. The group continued expanding their rank of influences; for example, thanks to the experience of Tsuyama with the ancient folk music they recorded The Girlfriend, a disk of traditional songs of Occitania. In 2001 the group published its fourth disk “oficial”, New Geocentric World of Acid Mothers Temper, as well as a for of editions limited. Since then, the collective one has given rise to numerous subproyectos, including Floating Power, Nishinihon or Tsurubami”
