Mclaren (MM) : It asked me ¿how affects the fact to be dedicated professionally to listen to the way in which the sounds are perceived from the day by day?
Chris Watson (CW) : I you mean when am not recording? How do I react before the routine sounds?
MM: Exactly.
CW: The certain thing is that turns out to be very difficult me to disconnect, exactly the other day spoke my children on this. The noise pollution I bother me and affects me. Nevertheless when I leave to record I can be extremely selective with what said to listen and to register, and on how treat it, but I believe that if that interferes, above all the noise, in my everyday life. Even I consider it a psychological problem, if I try to disconnect I tend to center my attention with more forces in which I do not want to listen. So I bother me the noise of the traffic, the "Muzak" electronic, the sounds distorted and the sounds that are produced in the wrong place, that is, in the most extensive sense, my description of noise. It disturbs me and can alter my state of mind, because I use the sound since produces reactions and as protest.
